Design Technology
Welcome to our Design Technology (DT) web page, where innovation meets creativity in our educational environment. Design Technology is an integral part of our curriculum, fostering critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a hands-on approach to learning. Our programme is underpinned by the Kapow scheme, which provides a comprehensive and structured framework for delivering exciting and engaging DT lessons. This scheme ensures that students are equipped with essential skills, from conceptual design to practical implementation, all while encouraging collaboration and independent thought.
In our DT lessons, pupils explore a variety of materials and technologies, enabling them to create functional and aesthetically pleasing products. We aim to cultivate a passion for design and technology, instilling students with a sense of responsibility towards sustainable practices. Our commitment to high-quality education ensures that every pupil is inspired to innovate, improve and achieve excellence in their creative endeavours.
We also use 'Play, Pause, Teach' (formerly Classroom Kitchen) which is a Food Technology & nutrition education specialist programme.
